RSS February, 2025 Newsletter

 

Welcome to 2nd Semester!

 

It’s a busy time at RSS with the wrap-up of 1st Semester, readying Learning Updates, and getting our new classes up and running.  It’s always a great feeling starting this semester knowing that in a few weeks the weather will start to warm, and we’ll be outside again in spring-like weather soon.

 

We have hired Ms. Schutz to teach English and Social Studies in this semester. We also wish Ms. LaForest well on her upcoming maternity leave at the end of the month—her position will be filled shortly.

 

Here’s upcoming events for February:

 

·      Grad-Parent Committee Meeting 6:30PM in RSS Library Feb 3rd.

 

·      Grade 12 Scholarship Meeting 12:30-1:30 in the Theater Feb 4th.  Parents/Caregivers are invited.

 

·      Grade 9 Immunizations Feb 7th.

 

·      Parent/Caregiver Series, “Cellphones: What’s Healthy, What’s Not, And What We Can Do to Support Our Kids?” with Hannah Beach 6:30-8:00 in the RSS Library or online.

 

·      Grad Photos at the SD #19 Board Office February 13th-14th.

 

·      PD Day Feb 14th.

 

·      Family Day Feb 17th.

 

·      RSS PAC Meeting Feb 24th.

 

·      Career Day Grade 10-12 Feb 25th.

·      Student Learning Conferences March 5th–12:30-3:10, and 5:10-8:00

 

·      Grade 12 Scholarship Applications Due 8:45 March 11th

 

·      Understanding Adolescents from the Inside-Out with Hannah Beach—Parent/Caregiver Series 6:30-8:00 RSS Library or on-line March 11th

 

·      Grad Photo Retakes March 12th

 

·      RSS Music Concerts March 12th/13th 7:00PM

 

·      Spring Break March 17th-28th
