Attention: Next Year’s Grade 11’s
Students entering Grade 11 next year have been assigned the following required course:
- Career Life Education 10B (2 credits)
1. First you have to pick your required courses.
You must have at least one course in each of these academic areas:
English
You must choose at least one English 11 course:
- Composition 11
- Creative Writing 11
- Literary Studies 11
Math
You must choose at least one Math 11 course:
- Pre-Calculus 11
- Foundations of Mathematics 11
- Workplace Math 11
- Computer Science 11
Socials
You must choose at least one Social Studies 12 course in grade 11 or 12:
- Law Studies 12
- Social Justice 12
- Physical Geography 12
- BC First Peoples 12
- 20th Century World History 12
Science
You must choose at least one Science 11 course:
- Physics 11
- Life Sciences 11
- Chemistry 11
- Earth Sciences 11
- Environmental Science 12
You must choose at least one Indigenous-focused course between grades 10 – 12.
2. Choose the rest of your courses
Choose the rest of your courses (electives/academics) to make up a minimum of 9 timetabled classes. You can choose from the above academic classes as well.

- Drama 11 (on or off-timetable)
- Theatre Production 11(on or off-timetable)
- Music 11: Concert Band
- Music 11: Jazz Band (one evening a week)

* Off-timetable courses are offered outside of normal school hours. They all count as credits towards graduation and require regular attendance. They may be before school, after school, or even on weekends.
